In the Beginning was the Percolator. While boiling your coffee to death is hardly the recommended method to make a pot, there wasn’t much in the way of an alternative until Mr Coffee came along. This drip system was worlds beyond what we had before, and it was good. One of the founders of the company that made Mr Coffee, Samuel Glazer, passed away recently. While he hadn’t been involved with the company for several years, having sold his interest in the business back in the 80s, think of Mr Glazer every time you don’t have to drink a cup on instant when you roll out of bed in the morning.
